Yes, that's me. If you're looking for a dignified, graceful, elegant journal, well, hon, you'd best keep on looking. I'm a bit silly, a bit goofy, a bit child like, but very honest and loyal and kind. I'm, as they used to say, of a certain age, and i've found that i like being older. Age hasn't brought wisdom, oh, no, age came all by itself.

I'm open to new ideas, new friends, new experiences. I do my very best not to judge. I would rather have fun, thanks oh so very much.




i'm may, mother of 2 adults, and a thwarted tyrant. i don't get angry enough, and it seems that bad behavior is still rewarded. wife of 29 years, still in love with my husband, pat, aka [info]1bongosneezy, and so far my only grandkid is a 56 lb basset hound. (think slinky dog from toy story) i'm still trying to deal with life, which keeps on throwing me curves. i'm generally perky, give good advice, and i like just about anyone. i still don't know what i want to be when i grow up. i'm kind of delaying that part, there.

my 27 year old daughter goes by the lj name of [info]killiara, she's married, as of december 4th, 2005, to the very wise and cool scott, a non ljer. we love him anyway.

to be honest, my family doesn't post much. could it be a combination of me bogarting the computer, and their love of computer games? could be.

my interests are varied and, well, darned interesting. i love new things, old things, and most things in between. i enjoy anything that people have a passion for. that's what's missing in most people's lives, passion! a hobby or such that they know way too much about, and love sharing. what could be cooler?
i'm sort of a hedonist. i like good food, better friends, lots of hugs, and the occasional bubblebath. i'm in a good place in life...loving husband, one kid still at home. nice place indeed.

i do believe in compassion, patience, and taking responsibility for your own actions or lack thereof. fixing things usually takes much less work than whining about it. yes, there are victims in this world. just not as many as you might think. i believe that good parenting should be paramount to those with kidlets, and that doesn't mean a tv, dvd player, playstation and phone in each bedroom. that means bedtime stories, chores, snuggles, and time with your kids. tell your kids why you believe what you do. give them a template for their moral life. having said that, everyone messes up. forgive them and yourself. intent is more important. i may say stupid things. i hope you'll forgive me, in advance.

i enjoy diversity, infinate, and all that. and you don't have to think exactly like i do to be my friend. respect of others of differing any/everything is important.

i share this body with a few strange things...one being ulcerative colitis. it's not a particularly welcome guest, but we make do. i have no immune system to speak of, and when i catch something, it wants to stay around for the duration. i'm sick quite a bit, and housebound at times, wheelchair bound at others. but i'm still me. silly, smart alec, fun loving, child like me.

Not only do we share the same birthdate, but my El Paso pal is also a very funny and enlightened woman who brings all kinds of unique stuff to the LJ community. From photos to links, to choice moments in her daily life, May is perhaps one of my more engaging friends to follow.

Let's see.. you are easy on the eyes, have a great sense of humor and humanity, and let's not forget your RAW DETERMINATION TO NOT JUST LIVE, BUT THRIVE, in spite of a lousy card that life dealt you.
